Terms of service

The terms on which Pump Radio provides this website and its listener messaging channels — SMS and WhatsApp to the studio. By using them you agree to these terms.

Messaging the studio

SMS and WhatsApp

What it is for. The SMS short code, long number and WhatsApp number are for shout-outs, requests, questions and feedback to the studio. They are not an emergency service, a customer support line or a way to reach individual presenters privately.
It may go on air. Anything you send may be read out, paraphrased or referred to on air, and may therefore be in a show recording. Do not send anything you would not want broadcast. We may edit, shorten or decline to use any message, and we do not have to reply.
What you must not send. Anything unlawful, defamatory, threatening, abusive, obscene, discriminatory, or that infringes someone else's rights or privacy; anything that identifies another person without their consent; spam or advertising. We may block a number that sends such material and, where appropriate, report it.
Charges. Texts to the short code and long number are charged at your network's standard message rate. We do not charge you to send or receive messages, and we do not run premium-rate services.
Age. You must be 16 or over to message the studio. If you are under 16, ask a parent or guardian to send it for you.
Replies. We only message you in reply to something you sent us. We do not send marketing by SMS or WhatsApp.
Third parties. SMS is carried by The SMS Works and WhatsApp by Meta. Their own terms apply to your use of their networks, and we are not responsible for their availability.
Your licence to us. By sending a message you give Pump Radio a free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to broadcast, record, reproduce and quote it, in whole or in part, on air, in show recordings and in our own channels, without further notice or payment. You keep ownership of what you wrote.

Content. Articles, images, logos, jingles and other material on this site belong to PacketPipe Ltd or the people who licensed them to us. You may view and share links freely; you may not copy, republish or exploit the content commercially without permission.
Audio. Shows are streamed through licensed third-party platforms. Their terms apply to playback, and we are not responsible for their availability or content.
Links. We link to other sites for convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for what they contain.
Availability. We aim to keep the site up but make no promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or withdraw any part of it at any time.
Presenters' area. The password-protected presenters' area is for Pump Radio presenters and contributors only. Do not share the link or password.

Liability and the law

The formal part

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, PacketPipe Ltd is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this website or the messaging channels, or from your reliance on anything broadcast or published, beyond what the law requires.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the current version, which is always at https://pumpradio.net/terms.
